What Happens at your first appointment?
Your initial assessment will be by one of our Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM) consultants who can then co-ordinate your ongoing investigation (if indicated) and management by either themselves or allied professionals. They work closely with a variety of other specialists including:
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Radiology
- Surgery (Orthopaedic or general)
- Nutrition
- Psychology
As SEM consultants, we work as a team and aim to diagnose your problem quickly and manage your onward care.
We provide on-site access to musculo-skeletal ultrasound during the consultation to aid in both diagnosis and management.
Our SEM consultants have considerable experience in the management of illness relating to exercise (including chronic disease) and injuries to all joints (including the back), muscle and soft tissue, including tendons and ligaments.
Our overall ethos is to get you seen and return you to your normal activities as soon as possible, having had the most up-to-date treatment available by specialists within their field of expertise.
In order to satisfy ethical obligations patients under GMC guidelines, please be aware that CircleReading is co-owned by the clinicians and employees who work there.
